Animal Care

Our firm began designing animal care facilities in the late 1960s. As the 1990s approached, our firm began seeking more animal care-related projects. With this effort, we began to design facilities throughout the Eastern United States. Today, Dominion Seven is recognized as the design leader in animal care facilities in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Animal shelter architects require an understanding of disease control, health and wellness for the animals, technology and special materials that hold up to frequent cleaning and wear and tear. Dominion Seven knows the recommendations of the Humane Society of the United States and the American Humane Association, as well as the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (Veterinary Services). We want to create the safest, healthiest spaces for pets waiting for their new homes.
